Pfff, I'm not that easy. First, he would need to show me the fishing museum and play hide&seek like he promised.

I went on a kind of date on Monday. Smithsonian museum of Natural history and the exorcist steps. Hands down best date I've been on... uh, only date i've been on. But I say "kind of" date because I'm not sure if it was. i mean he asked me if I wanted to go that morning, and we went, and we were by ourselves. I dunno, I guess I don't consider it a date unless some says, "It's a date."
Okay... back to the planet... who are we talking about again? |

I Came in Through the Bathroom Window wrote: I hate valentine's day because it's an "imported" holiday: we didn't "celebrate" it in Argentina until a few years ago.
the Post office imported it to Finland basically to sell more stamps. It was watered down and they call it Friend's day (aaarrrggggghhhhhhhhh). So the end result is, that all kinds of people send you cards and text messages etc, because they consider you their "friends". I've even got a message from a company I work for as a subcontractor at times (female boss, married with two grown up kids).
I noticed that shops are trying to introduce a more Anglosaxon style here, too. Chocolate hearts are everywhere.
The better half and I just wish each other happy valentine's and carry on as usual, no gifts, special food etc. |

Me too!
No, they play this song hahaha. It's been going on for years and years. It's a classic :oP.
Edit: I just thought about it and only people who speak spanish will understand the lyrics, I'm so stupid xD.
Anyway, it's a friendship song.
"Because they're always beeee with meeeee.
Those good moments we spent togehter without knowing...
That a firend is aaaaa liigght
Shining in the daaaaaark
You'll always be my friiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeend
Nothing else matterssssssssss"
LOL! It sounds so funny in English xD. |

So so far the suggestions have been:
1) My Bloody Valentine
2) Sex
And we're on page two of this thread??? I don't go to other boards but I've got to think we are ace at getting off topic!!
Goosey, if he is a guy who buys everything for himself she should give him something homemade (perhaps a full dinner or something crafty, wherever her talents lie) or take him on some fun activity.
(tangent: Lauren, that's cool about your non-date date!) |
