vampire? okay...

i prefer canons. but its just all in your interests. you say what you wanna do with it and we ll (ill) try to give you some names..

Ok :-) I know there has to be a compromise somewhere.....all singing and dancing may not give the best quality pics...... but around £300 - what I want is a good quality picture ( some look grey tinny and unflattering ) and have a vdeo facility as well .

( I remember I hated my dad taking photos because his camera brought out every spot on my face even before one had started!)

Dont care about auto but an anti vampire facility a must!

usually you can switch off this function. maybe you just have to look for it :)
but ..
i can tell you.. you should try some Olympus or Canon (Ixus).. Theyre quite nice I think. Canon Ixus if you only want taking some nice pictures, Canon PowerShot if you wanna change many settings on your own..

Ive always had Canon cameras and still enjoy them. But tried some else. I like Canon, Exilim, Olympus, Kodak.
Best tip i can give you is:
use a brand which only makes electronic things, printer, cameras, so on ( not washing machine or sth). then you can be more sure that theyre taking much time for producing cameras.

AND:

TRY. Try as much as you can in stores with your own memory card, so you can watch at your pc later which pictures are the best!
it took a lota time till i knew which was the best for me..

hope it helps.

;)
