Here's my playlist so far, I'll probably add as it gets closer to Christmas.
Happy XMas (War Is Over) - John Lennon
Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses
Spotlight on Christmas - Rufus Wainwright
Last Christmas - Travis
Winter Wonderland - Phantom Planet
White Christmas - Otis Redding
Happy XMas (War Is Over) - The Fray
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - U2
Christmas in Hollis - Run DMC
Buon Natale (Means Merry Christmas to You) - Nat King Cole
Oi To the World - No Doubt
Donde Esta Santa Claus - Guster
All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey (<-- For real. Yes, I like this song.)
Silent Night - Damien Rice & Lisa Hannigan
Songs definitely not on Lauren's playlist: Do They Know It's Christmas - Band Aid 20.
Words cannot describe how much I loathe this song. |

I LOVE Christmas music soooooooooooooo much! It's so camp and generally really really bad quality, but all of it is totally amazing!
It's nearly time for me to sit with the christmas music tape and emerse myself in cheesiness for an afternoon :D |

I like the old school Christmas songs the best. Nat King Cole singing "The Christmas Song," and Bing Crosby singing, "White Christmas," Ray Conniff Singers "The Little Drummer Boy," stuff like that. Something about those old songs seems more Christmassy. My mom had this old album that I used to listen to every year as a kid and to me, THAT is Christmas music. I guess I'm a cheeseball, too. |
