just as a resolution to this thread, i ended up getting on a bus in edinburgh at 10pm, and arrived in london at 6:30am. not the most fun trip, but cheap!

i really regret not getting to see the countryside during the day. the uk is the most beautiful place in the world in my opinion. but i did get to see the moon out over the sea, so I guess that's something.
