Guess I'll be heading to the library on Monday! Although I started a book months ago but found it quite hard going so I put it down till I was in the mood for it. It was Citizen Soldier by Stephen Ambrose. I read his Band of Brothers, pegasus bridge and D-Day books and enjoyed them but citizen soldier was tough going!
Have you read any of his books? |

| Have not no, but I'll look out for them, been reading a lot of non-ficion recently, Mao the Untold Story for example but it's doing my head in so I reckon I'll go back to fiction. |

If you like Colin Bateman I would definitely recommend Zane Radcliffe! Fab Northern Ireland author and very very funny also. London Irish, Big Jessie and The Killer's Guide to Iceland! Well worth a read :-)

Absolutely love Brookmyre especially 'All Fun and Game...'
...and I'll second that Hiaasen reccomendation, quite possibly an even funnier man that Brookmyre. need to buy the ones i don't have actually.
EDIT: Found this for anyone wanting a taster of Hiaasen's work

I`ve read all CB`s books and my favourite has got to be Country Of The Blind.
brookmyre has so many funny characters in his books but the funniest has to be Cameron"Spammy"Scott.
A Tale etched is probably my least favourite |

I actually thought the funiest part of A Tale Etched was the glossary of Scottish words and phrases right at the end (but then I am also a Saint Mirren fan). |
