I took my little puppy out for a piddle and she just vanished/sank into the snow. It was the funniest/most frightening moment of my life. :P |

Another 1 to 3 inches expected tomorrow, more snow on Wednesday and wickedly cold. Looks like a white Christmas for us!
Rachel wants to build an igloo today. We have been watching YouTube videos on how to build them. Very interesting. Did you know you're supposed to slope the first row of blocks? If we are successful, I will post a picture. |

I'm sure it will take us several days. Here is an educational video from The National Film Board of Canada.

It is now 8ºF with a windchill of -16ºF.
That is -13ºC with a windchill of -26.6ºC.
That is seriously cold.
When the wind blows, it is quite arctic.
It's so COOOOOOOOLD in the D. |

That sounds delightful. It has now dropped down to 2ºF (-16ºC). The sun just went down. I wonder how low the temperature will get tonight? |

It has been snowing here in the Northwest since 1:30 yesterday afternoon and we have about 10-12 inches now which is a lot for us. Everything is shut down. |
