I still find it uncomfortable that you can choose between two candidates only, though.
Juli,
I agree with you 100%. The two party system is one we've had in the US forever and it kind of stinks. Ralph Nader probably would make a good president. He's done great work with the FDA and other non profit organizations. But, people don't know this because he's not associated with either of the two parties. So... yeah.
Ralph Nader is not a unknown . He deffiently screwed up a election too. I do have great hope for his running mate Matt Gonzalez and would vote for him in a number of offices . It's a close race , it's a free country vote whatever but let me say again , it's gonna be close |

I don't want to hear any of them talk about Main Street vs. Wall Street.
Also I could do without Joe Six-Pack or Joe Lunchbucket. See:

Haha. I also thought a Sarah Palin debate drinking game would be fun. Something with Maverick, Hockey Mom, Alaska, Winking, voting record, Aw Shucks, Russia, etc. |

If that is the reason why even one person votes for McCain/Palin I will have lost all hope for this country. |

Then hope is lost...I'm sure people have voted for much worst reasons than that.... |

K, i have a question about the US electoral process.
What is required to register to vote? Is it some complicated process?
You dont register here. Your first election after you turn 18 a voting card is sent to you a few weeks before the election. |

According to the Federal Election Commission, you must:
* Be a citizen of the United States
* Be a resident of the state in which you're planning to register (If you just moved to a new state for school, click here to find out more about absentee voting.)
* Be at least 18-years-old at the time of the next election
In addition, most states have the following two requirements. You must:
* Not be imprisoned or on parole for the conviction or a felony
* Not currently be judged mentally incompetent by a court of law

you fill out a form and you must be a US citizen and not a convicted felon . there is a cutoff point to register before the election too otherwise you won't be regestered in time . you can declare party alliance or be independent |
