OK I'm lame. I haven't been on here at night in awhile. For those who don't know my hubby has a new job where he travels half the week. I'm totally swamped with learning how to function as as single mom half the work week. At the moment my evenings are mainly spent preparing for the next day - prepping (or fully cooking) dinner, packing baseball uniforms or dance clothes, making lunches for the next day, blah blah blah.
I was going to get on last night while I watched Project Runway but I decided my stomach was gross and I needed to start doing Pilates again while I watch TV. (Reading this last sentence confirms what a girl I am)
Anyway, Brian's job is a really great thing (he so needed to get out of his old company) and I am getting closer to not feeling like a total mess.
But I did want to comment on a few things:
Nikki wrote: CNN Weatherman Rob Marciano!
I've never seen him but I'm going to need to start watching weather on CNN. purrr....
Nikki wrote: ElspethOllie wrote: Nikki wrote: Speaking of...Lauren, do you watch CNN often? I have a new crush.
Who Anderson Cooper? Isn't he in the closet?
You think Anderson is gay? My mom would be crushed, lol. jk...she likes him though. He's not bad looking, just not my type.
Nikki who knows but it's implied in most things I read about him that he's gay. So you may have to break your mom's heart a little bit. I feel pretty sure that if things don't work out with your dad he wouldn't be interested in hooking up with her. Bummer, right??
No shock here but I LOVE the kitty!! Reminds me of one of my now deceased cats. Her name was Talulah (full name: Talulah Belle Princess Kitten but we mainly caller her Lulah) and she looked a lot like this cat. She was also the teeniest cat I've ever had. She was 7 pounds and people always thought she was an older kitten instead of an adult cat.
Nikki, I definitely want to see your painting.
Dak, I looked at a few of your pics in the gallery. They're great!!
OK, this is the end of my pathetic attempt to participate after the fact.

Bump!
I got a picture of Cat-A-Tac's sister!! (She's shy and not friendly like Cat-A-Tac.) They were all hanging out in my back yard for hours the other day. I have no idea where they come from. They seem to have adopted me or something. I don't even feed them or anything, because they're one of my neighbor's cats. I just pet Cat-A-Tac and she keeps coming around and sleeping on top of my favorite plant. Cats. *shrug* They sleep where they want...on your keyboard, on top of your head in the middle of the night. *Wishes I had a cat*
Anyway, I call this one Taily-po, after the creepy story, because she's black and she's a manx. :D But enough about my Not my cats. |

Michelle! If you're out there!
1. I read the first four books in the True Blood series. Sad I know. I was so desperate that I bought book 2 and 3 as ebooks and read them that way because the local B&N didn't have them and it takes 2-4 weeks for them to ship! Lame I know! But when I went in to buy #4 they had just got a stock of #3 in. Ack!!! Long story short. I think you should read them because
a) they're good, and you'll know what's happening in the TV series before it's happening because so far they are following the books to a T
b) I'll have someone to talk about them with :o)
2. Where do I go to read Modular Living?

I'll have to check the books out then!
Modular Living is here: Oh/No! Fiction LJ Comm. <--That's the direct link to the Modular Living tag though, so that's all you'll see. You can click on the header if you're curious about the other stuff...it's all Torchwood related though. (Obviously, I'm Manicdak on LJ) :D We're going to be doing Nanowrimo this year!! |

I'm going to be out of commission for at least an hour. True Blood is coming on in 10. So... yeah. Gotta catch that. |
