Hey, so me and andy and nick and giles are on a bus together, riding across the united states. Bo is our driver on this run. Nice man. It's a modest production.
The idea for the tour came about after doing a chronological show at The Housing Works Bookstore a year ago. Then Andy and I did it again in Austria. After the reaction we had to that show I thought it would be interesting to take a similar show on the road in America.
The idea of travelling across the US in a bus and trying to write songs as we went was appealing. When our agent took me aside at the end of the last US trip and asked if I had ever considered a scaled down acoustic tour it seemed like it was time to get to it.
I thought maybe some images would add a little depth to the show. We borrowed a projection screen for the first 6 shows and then in Dallas I found one on Craigslist.
Jim, a man from Fort Worth came to the show and brought with him a big ol screen and a home made tripod. We heard some of his music too and he showed us some of his cool graphics. He used to build sets in Hollywood and live next door to Librace!
So the shows have been going great. We have written 1 shit song so far. We are also meeting nearly everyone who came to the show after the show and chatting and signing stuff. It's been great to get a chance to meet you all.
We are heading out of Kentucky now. Detroit tomorrow. See you there.
