Nora, me and Clay are in New York at our place. We've been here a week. I went out for a run last Tuesday with Clay in his Stokke stroller (pram). We travelled down to the Hudsen and ran 30 blocks up to the heleport. Clay loves planes and helicopters. He was quite taken aback by the size and noise of these massive machines. Me too.
On our way we stopped at the water play ground. It was getting warm but was very cloudy so as a precaution I asked this nanny woman if she would lend me some sun block for Clay.

When we got back home, Nora was all "Baby you got sun burn" but i just looked like my normal self when I've been out running, like a steaming tomato, and it was cloudy- no sunshine. An hour later though and my face was still blazing red! Oops. And my shoulders could have fried eggs. It was aloe vera time.
That was an uncomfortable day and even more uncomfortable night. At night I resembled the big devil guy from the movie "Legend".

But now, as I write, It has made way for my all time best tan. I never used to tan and tend to stay out of the sunshine because of skin cancer (kids you need to watch for that shit, people in their 30's are dropping like flies from melanoma. Be careful. ANd if you see any peculiar moles, have them checked... If that shit penetrates your skin and enters you fatty tissue you're a gonner... ahhh 9enough of the lectures)

So has everyone bought or illegally downloaded the Coldplay album? I have listened to mine once all the way through. My favourite song so far is Lost but I want to hear lyrics on Life In Technicolour. The melody on the last track is stuck in my head and won't go away and Cemeteries of London is lodging n there too. Well done Coldplay. Viva la Vida and all that...

I went to see Battles play with Gnarls Barkley at the Fillmore East last Monday. Battles were shockingly good. The audience were rapt. Battles invented Math Rock. Very technical, loopy rock music, that spins you into a trance and then blows you away. You should try and catch them at the festivals this summer. You won't be disappointed.
More music that I am listening to is MGMT.I just think these guys are stunning. Look em up on youtube. They did Jools Holland not that long ago. ANother track I love is the Santogold song L.E.S Artistes... song of the summer for me.

And I saw There Will Be Blood on the aeroplane over. Go see it. Daniel Day Lewis is off the scale. Oh and buy Anton's movie CONTROL on DVD, all about the life of Ian Curtis of Joy Division.
Anyways, it's late here. I will write more soon.
Ciao...
