Somewhere between DC and Detroit. Sunrise was beautiful. We pass small farm buildings and corn fields, a lime green shed with SAVE $$$ ON FIREWORKS scrolled over its doors. Trees, trees, trees...more signs for fireworks... they like to celebrate here... someone left a link to the Alio G Show performance of Why Does It Always Rain On Me... That was funny.
We played DC last night. The crowds at all these shows on the current tour, in UK, Europe and now the US have been so good. We are having a ball. Thanks for coming.
Nigel is on the bus for the week. He's the man who produced The Man Who and countless other uber records by the Mighty Heed and Beck and Air and blah blah blah... He's having a nice time.
This is definitely the most fun we've ever had on a tour. Everyone is so relaxed and yet so focused...it's a nice place to be AND ... we have internet on the bus!!!!
At the New York show, Demetri, the guy in the video for Selfish Jean, came onstage and did the routine live. Check him out on youtube...he does standup. He won the Perrier Award afew years ago for his show "If I" and appears regularly on the Daily Show on Comedy Central. If you live in downtown New York you may see him on his longboard. He has a nut allergy so please...no nuts.
