How does this thing work again?
Seeing if I can remember lol.Happy 25th birthday The Invisible Band for this Thursday 11th June! I share a birthday with it, it’s been in my life ever since I was 24 & has a very special place in my heart.
Think we should all play it in full then.
Favourite songs?
Mine is Flowers In The Window (obviously because of my longstanding username) but I can’t choose it could well be Sing, Side or The Humpty Dumpty Love Song.This is the album that really got me into songwriting. Great to have the Travis Messageboard 2.0 back!

This has always been the album I come back to time after time and was also the first tour I got to see them live.

This was my first show as well. TIB was the first record that came out after being a fan. I was so excited for this album but like with all great art, I had to warm up to it. The bonus tracks are amazing. When I Fell is such a great song.

Love this album so much. Saw Travis last year in the cotswolds and it was such a lovely gig. he jumped into the crowd and stood right next to me. happy days.

I’d like to tell you that it’s been twenty years since I first listened to TRAVIS’s album The Invisible Band, thanks to a friend of my sister who gave it to us as a gift when I was only thirteen years old. Today, my partner and I are huge fans. In 2024, I took him to see you at the Gran Rex Theatre in Buenos Aires, Argentina, even though he barely knew the band at the time. As it turned out, from that day on he became a fan too—just as much as, or maybe even more than, I am. These days, we’ve been slowly buying your albums on CD so we can listen to them in the car, since we still have an older model that comes with a CD player.

Spectacular album, Actually the whole album is magnificent but if I had to choose, my favourites would be Side, Sing, Safe, indefinitely and Humpty Dumpty love song.

25 years – wow. I saved my paper round money and treated myself to the album after I finished my GCSE’s – such great memories. Am gutted my soon to be ex-girlfriend saw the band on this tour (and apparently caught Fran’s towel), it would be the 12 Memories tour I would see the band for the first time and subsequently every album-promoting tour since, including the 20th anniversary shows for this special album. Fast forward 25 years since it’s release and my daughter loves singing along to this album but especially Follow The Light so that is probably my favourite track, with honourable mentions to The Cage and Indefinitely.
