Hi! I know it’s normal that CD singles aren’t really a thing anymore—the industry has changed, and everything is mostly digital these days. I realize I mentioned missing CD singles in two other threads—which probably looks like spam, I know; I only just noticed I’d brought it up twice, haha. I wanted to see if I was the only one who felt this way. It would be amazing if CD singles made a comeback—even if it sounds like a pipe dream. I wanted to take this opportunity—while they’re looking into what kind of merch fans are interested in—to see if anyone else shares my enthusiasm. To me, there’s something irreplaceable and magical about holding your favorite song in your hand in a physical format. Obviously, I’m not demanding anything, but it would be wonderful to see something like that again, even if it were just a limited run in today’s market… let’s see who else is on board.

Around here, it’s nearly impossible to find albums released after 2013’s “Where You Stand” the last one actually manufactured in Brazil. You have to rely on online imports or special orders through physical stores, which is a bit frustrating for fans who want to get their hands on the material. It would be great to have a local outlet or a partnership to distribute the band’s vinyl and CDs now that they are already in the country.

I bought the *Idlewild* single from Greece a few days ago; the shipping was incredibly expensive, and on top of that, they stopped being produced after *Everything at Once*. It’s almost impossible to find copies of *Everything at Once* and *Where You Stand*, and *10 Songs* and *L.A. Times* don’t exist at all—it’s sad, but it makes sense.

I miss tape singles that had actual B sides! Recently I was talking to someone about a Travis B side I loved, and I said something like “well it was on the same side cause it was a CD WHICH ONLY HAS ONE…” All these years we’ve thought Fran was dead deep, he’s just been singing about CDs 😂

I didn’t get the Side reference at first 😅 but yeah, cassette singles would be great, although they’re probably even less likely.

Haha it was subtle 🤣 Agreed it’s not very likely and I don’t know if they even make cassette players any more! CDs would be nice though
