Today is our dearest frontman Fran’s birthday – hope he has the most wonderful day! 🎉
As a little celebration idea, I’d like to invite everyone here to share a moment when you found Fran the most endearing – or just irresistibly amusing. And of course, if you’d rather just leave a simple birthday wish, that’s more than welcome too!
I’ll go first: last year he said “We’re going to be playing a show at the Piece Hall in Halifax. It’s a stunning venue and we’re really excited to be playing there. It’s three days after my birthday. I’m just I’m just saying. See you there.” That “just saying” made me laugh so much – he clearly wanted us to know, but didn’t want to seem too eager about it. That kind of awkward charm is so quintessentially him.

When he came to Brazil, there was a moment where he showed the vinyl record to Andy and whispered Andy’s name I was mesmerized and felt completely detached from my surroundings for a few seconds, with his voice right next to my ear. He is very handsome, and I have that moment of seeing him etched in my memory.
During the show, I was trying to take photos of the band and most people want to get the highest quality shots possible. Suddenly, he came closer to where I was standing I decided to give up on the photo thinking it wouldn’t turn out well—and lowered my camera. That was exactly when the shutter went off, and I captured the “best worst” photo of him by pure accident a moment that is deeply meaningful and very special to me.

In 2024, a few months before L.A. Times was released, and a few weeks before we could listen to Gaslight, Fran came to Mexico City for a solo gig to support one of his friends for the pop-up bar of Treasure Club. There was a meet-and-greet, and I was able to get a ticket. At some point Fran told us that something new was coming, and showed me some stills from the Gaslight video, and then he said “You didn’t hear anything from me”. Things like that are what makes him so adorable 🫶.

One of my fav moments is during the Live in Glasgow (More than us) when he pulls Dougie in for a hug 😊 together with his posts on X , they are so funny, smart and sometimes very angry too 😂
