Finally went to see this tonight. What a brilliant fantastic cool funny smart fresh horrific film. Who’s seen it?! If you have not seen it you have to go before it leaves theatres. 4 months after release and a film is still filling theatres.

Oh, I just saw it as well! I agree. I went in knowing nothing but I am always interested when films become phenomenons, and I read it’s made hundreds of millions on a single million dollar budget. Wow.
I came out with so many thoughts- Gen Z captures the real horror behind the horror and doesn’t seem to mind lingering on awkward moments. I love that. It felt fresh. The actress who played Nikki was astounding. -
I’ve read that the underlying theme Is about men wanting to crontol women (let me say it happens too often unfortunately), consent and the difficulty of accepting rejection. If so it should be worth watching. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah a star is born. She was terrifying. And great direction too. I heard the director is going to do a reboot of Texas Chainsaw. I think he can try his hand at other genres.

I’ve always liked horror/thriller movies and books because they address our deepest fears.
The last one I’ve seen is “Speak no evil” by Christian Tafdrup, that is way better than the american remake.
The movie serves as a mirror to a numb and helpless society, incapable of reacting to horror,toxic masculinity, submissiveness of fathers unable to express healthy aggression to protect their families so they endure harassment for not breaking the rules of civil coexistence.Manipulation and gaslighting are also present in the plot. Not a lighthearted one I know 😅

The movie is good and sparks plenty of conversation my only issue was that I was paying too close attention,🚩 so I ended up figuring out the plot before the end 😅
