Message Board › General Chat › Q for the band: what’s your fav author/book?
Hello guys!
My name is Sara and I’m from Italy.
I would like to know what’s your fav author or book that impressed you,of any kind. I have a lot but I’d say Oscar Wilde, Emily Dickinson, Michela Murgia,Orwell, Fitzgerald, Poe and Stephen King.
Have a nice day 🙂 x
Please 🥺❤️
Sorry the message above was typed by mistake, I was trying to reply another topic. Don’t know how to delete lol
‘The Creative Act’ by Rick Rubn is a book about creativity, but honestly, EVERYONE (and I mean everyone) should read it. It’s packed with 80 tips, and you’re bound to find a couple that will stick in your head daily.
Cheers!
Thank you for this tip! Going to read it for sure!
I’m currently reading a book about Bowie “the stories behind the songs, 1964-1976 vol. 1” which I love ’cause I’m a big fan ❤️.
Hope someone from the band will answer to my question
Cheers! X
Sara
Hi Sara – Emily Dickinson, excellent!! Have you heard the John Adams musical homage to her poem ‘Wild Nights’? It’s hard to be particular on mine or the bands reading material – we are well read but…currently I’m enjoying the original Ian Fleming, James Bond books or…if I’m in a Sci-Fi mood, Asimov or Frank Herbert. Nx
Hi @Neil
Thanks for replying, you’re so nice! I haven’t heard of the homage about Wild Nights, I’ll definitely look into it. I’ve read a couple of Asimov’s books and none of Fleming’s , well at least I’ve seen all the classic Bond movies with Sean Connery when I was about 10 🙂
Hope the other guys will reply too , I’m curious to know!
Sara x
