Good morning everyone! What are your plans for today?

I’m going to work in an hour where I will be grading my pupils for this term. They are 15 and quite terrible and adorable at the same time. The pupils themselves are away on work week, a week in 9th grade where they have to find a wee job and do that for a week. I visited a few of them yesterday and only one was looking forward to school on Monday haha.

After work I will go get my new family member, my first pet as an adult and my substitute child – a wee minischnauzer puppy named Oda. I’m so excited! She is adorable and I love her so much already.

Sorry about my English not englishing today, alas I am a math and science teacher and not an English teacher.

      Now, what are your plans?

Hello, teacher! Being a teacher must be really hard, having to deal with so many teenagers (and I was one of them not too long ago). I’m so jealous that you’re getting a puppy β€” I’ve always wanted a pet but my situation doesn’t allow it… Wishing you and Oda a great time together!

My plan for today is simple: review, review, and more review. It’s noon here right now. In three hours I have my final exam for Mechanics of Materials, and after that I still need to keep studying because there are so many more exams waiting for me 😭😭 I really want a holiday already!

I love being a teacher. It’s very rewarding and teenagers are mostly fun. Good luck on your reviewing and exam! Sounds like an interesting subject. I used to study molecular biology and I loved that – I miss those student days, but I don’t miss having no money.

Good Morning teacher! Kids these days are difficult to handle πŸ™‚ well, I have lots of emails to read and one online meeting to attend then reply emails and prepare contracts whilst listening Travis and the Cure and thank god it’s Friday

I’m going to sleep πŸ˜… and tomorrow Friday I’ll be working like Monday (because today was a non working day for the world cup) and hearing all day about football, nothing special really πŸ˜“

Good morning! As the mother of a 15 year old I know exactly what you mean πŸ˜‰

Plans today… work (graphic design), World Cup, walking the dogs (I have two Jindo mixes adopted from South Korea — best of luck with your new puppy, dogs are the best!), and studying (taking a course to become a technical editor for knitting patterns).

Update on Oda the pup. She is absolutely stunning, currently sleeping in my lap.

      Aw, so cute!

I’m a teacher too, at uni, so slightly older crowd (mostly 20/21 years old). I love it so much. I teach history of architecture. We are currently studying the architecture of ancient Greece and Rome, focusing in particular on how notions of ethos or civitas were embodied in architecture and how architecture itself fostered those senses of belonging. In turn, the idea is for students to find resonances, territorial echoes of that link between these notions of public life and architecture in a contemporary building or urban space in Buenos Aires. So today we’ll be working on preparing field guides so that they can go out on urban walks. πŸ™‚
