completely unbiased of COURSE! haha

1. the weather is pretty cool
2. the graffiti art is uber cool
3. the MOMA rawks
4. the golden gate park has a buffalo paddock (but i didn't get to visit!!! lovely japanese garden though)

cons:
1. the bars are scarce downtown (not that i'm a lush or anything)
2. downtown is uber touristy (and uber expensive)
3. haight-ashbury. :P

I finally made it to the de Young and the Legion of Honor this weekend. Very cool. The Chihuly exhibition at the de Young was amazing.

Sorry I wasn't online when you were here. Glad you enjoyed your time, even with the 'elusive' bars ;-)

Here are a few bars downtown that I've been to that I thought were decent:

Redwood Room
The Ambassardor
Rye Bar

Next door to the SFMoma, there's XYZ Bar.

union square plaza hotel...on geary...actually really cute...really tiny but really cute.

no live shows...no time.

went to fisherman's wharf if that counts as going to the ocean? saw the bridge but from far...wanted to go to alcatraz but the parking situation took up more $$ than we expected. :/ wanted to go to the mission district to be around our people but we drove back home instead.

Since you mentioned there are no bars in San Francisco, I have to ask this. Where are all the fast food restaurants in LA? I mean, other than Subway. We were driving around trying to find a place to have breakfast and there was NOTHING man! We figured there must be some secret area where they all are. Of the very, very few restaurants we found, none was open for breakfast.

whaat?! are you kidding me? where did you stay? i literally have a carl's jr (aka Hardy's to some of ya'll), in-n-out, taco bell/pizza hut express, fatburger, mcdonald's,panda express, subway, quizno's, el pollo loco, and jack in the box all within oh maybe a five minute drive in any direction

the carl's jr and quizno's and fatburger are probably 3 blocks away. walking distance.

(i can't say i'm proud of all the fast food options but there you have it)
