Hehey.
My GF's doing Erasmus at Strathclyde uni then so I thought why the hell not.
Currently putting the pennies away. (which means a telecaster may have to wait) Should be fine if I can find some sort of electronics job like I'm doing now.
Anyone got tips on places to look for flats?
Reckon I'll be OK being English in Glasgow? I can always pretend to be French ("Ah zees Engleesh, ze're so stoopeed, non?")
Cheers. |

Even though i live here. Hanne is the best one to ask as she has already done what you are about to do.
What uni is your girlfriend going to? |

Glasgow's a bit like Dublin, it's quickly becoming very cosmopolitan so I wouldn't worry too much about the England/Scotland thing, however there will, as with any city, always be an element of wankerism, try not to let the minority get to you.
I haven't been there for a couple of years cept on visits so I'm a bit out of touch with areas etc. but Byers Road was always a sorta student area.
I really hope you have a blast, enjoy it mate!!!

Yeah, Byres Road + also Ashton Lane are nice! You'll love Glasgow, I basically spent every weekend throughout school up there and my sister lives there now - its one of my fave cities ever! |

FYI, the IT service department there is terrible, isn't that right Gladly ;o)
I was at Strathclyde and knew a few folk who were over on the ERASMUS program. They're very well taken care of. You'll be fine |

To look for a flat, check the ads in The List or the window of a newsagent in Byres Road. The notes in the window are usually from people looking for flatmates though. |
