I don't know if I'll go but I'll keep my eyes peeled for the flyer. It's raining terribly at the moment. No good for the emo kids and their hair.

I have vampire weekend 'walcott' as my ringtone right now. It's pretty good.

Wombats are really good live - they did tales of marsupials a capella live and it was spot on.

I'm very interested but their SXSW gig is Thursday at 1 a.m. Maybe if I was still in college and had no children I could do that but that's just too late for me.

I checked their site and they have a few more gigs listed in Austin so I'm going to try and figure out when those are.

well im of course a fan, but i did buy a badge, i hope for a job to land in my lap. or at least maybe just more contacts for when i take on bands, as i like to help bands trying to come to america. Im pretty excited ive been to sxsw 3 years in the past took last year off as it was getting less fun, this is the first year ive bought a badge, so im pretty excited to take advantage of panels and courses in the day time.

my calendar is pretty big, but looks like this year im mostly going to a lot of french, scandinavian, and canadian electronic acts, seems that british indie really isnt as strong as it used to be. maybe im just getting old, i just got the brit box which is a complilation from rhino of 90s british music, its so nostalgic for me, i wish there were still bands like that around.

Cool. I didn't know if you were coming as a performer, to work, or just to soak in.
