| Pretty song, but to me it sounds like they borrowed most of the melody from Ring Out the Bell (Dougie prolly doesn't mind that). Good on them for winning the Oscar. |

Yes I know he had nothing to do with it, but it's obvious that Mr. Hansard was greatly inspired by his song. :)

| I can see how really really small snippets of the songs have vaguely similar melodies but I think that's just the nature of music and that it didn't inspire the song. |

Am I the only person in this world that thinks this song is a pile of steaming dog mess??
It's bland, It's not particularly inspired, it sounds exactly the same as a million other Damien Rice/Glen Hasard/million other "vocal" artists. Not to mention the fact that it wasn't even written for the movie.

I think it's ok, but it sounds like every other Paddy/Damien/Brendan Rice/Casey/Dempsey song I've heard.
