setting , a car, 66 GTO , parked on fulton & Central , by a corner market , ALE , Julis sister , sits in the front seat , combing out the snarls in her hair while watching the curtains in a 2nd floor apartment move . kitty corner accros the way jude sits in camero , a 69 , green metalic . A sawed off shot gun sits accross her lap . It is early morning .
Jude ( to herself ) - heh heh heh heh heh
Cuts to Ocean Beach , Moray and Megg have been up all night ," talking " , sitting in the sand , her silk dress is a bit frayed , her purse nearby , Moray is smiling . there's no fog and no breeze ( it's a movie ) and it's not chilly at all . from the grasses overlooking the beach Mozeman lays in wait for his moment .
Moray - " wish i could lose this headache babe "
megg - " please don't call me babe or reffer to me as baby either "
moray - " so megg , tell me where you stashed the gold , we should take it and runaway ? "
Megg - " and where's the diary , fair is fair ?
moray - " I have no idea , that was a jude trip , something about her revenge on Goosey ."
Megg ( reaching into her purse ) - "Then what good are you "
moray (stunned ) - " What ?"
Megg pulls out a pistol and fires , moray is Down for the Count .
mozeman watching stands up and yells
- Drop it ! don't move "
He has a gun pointed at her
she looks
and he starts walking towards her
Megg not cracking a sweat or showing any emotion lets it fall
megg - " you think I don't know who he works with or who you work for ? "
mozeman - " he's just a means to get what I want , to hell with jude and goosey and their little tit for tat bullshit , i want the money , gold and diary. I'm number one now "
Megg ( sounding flirty ) - oooooooooooooooooooooh just what I like a man with dreams and not affaid to get dirty
Mozeman - " come on lets go, no funny stuff and lets move back across the highway "
they start heading towards the parking lot
megg - "whats so funny about a girl having to do what she has to do ? "
Mozeman - ( angry ) - " Shut up ! "
Megg slows down , a rumble of motorcycles is heard in the distance
mozeman - " move it "
megg quickly spins and strikes mozman with a throat punch .
He drops like a rock , she crouches and fishes through his pockets pulling out Almas' car keys , a Mustang fanclub key chain , She losses her shoes ands starts running off towards the parking lot
The camera cuts to Mary waiting patiently in the car knitting , Megg hopes in and knocks her unconscious and peels out , spinning tire and makin smoke .
A overhead shot of Nikki and Kayte tooling through the parking lot , they stop at mozman body . Cuts to close up of Kayte face , then the monkey paw , then her monkey paw , Mozemans face , his grimmace .
Kayte ( semi shocked ) - " Thats my brother "
Nikki ( who had been giggling a second before ) - ( stunned ) - " really ?"
they both get off their bikes and servey the crime scene , nikki walks over to Moray in the distance and starts going through his " kiltbag " she pulls out a small map
cuts to close up of the map , SANTA CRUZ , hippie capital USA
cuts to the GTO on Fulton & Central , Esteban is leaving the building , carrying two accordian cases , He's be bopping towrds the car , He doesn't notice Jude , There's an oxygen tank in the back seat of Judes car .
he throws the cases in the trunk and gets in the car
Esteban - " miss me baby ? "
Ale - " Si mi amor "
Esteban - " I love it when you speak in Spanish, we'll hide out in Santa Cruz till it calms down , the redwoods are nice "
Ale - " i've never seen the really big ones yet "
Esteban - " Baby , who needs trees when you got the big bopper ?"
Ale - " oh you know what I like "
He turns the key , the car kicks over and they head South , followed by Jude
