"GChatter" - verb. to talk rapidly in a foolish or purposeless way; jabber.
since the travis/non-travis apartheid rule went into affect last week it's become apparent that the most popular board in here now is GChat - therein likes the rub:
GChatters spend more time yacking about non-travis related things, does that mean then that they (i.e. we) are real travis fans?

In recent months I've discovered I'm not a 'fan' of the band, but of the music - certainly the earlier stuff.

Yeah, why is that? I would've put money on GC being full of weirdos but no, they're all residing in the band's section.

People who are "fans" are generally a bit weird. You know, desperately needing to know the singer's favourite colour and stuff? And those are the people who will frequent the band section. Normal people who just want to talk shit about this, that and the other will be found in this here general bit.
So I suppose it depends on your definition of a "real" fan. Someone who knows the drummer's dog's name or someone who enjoys the music? |

On any forum, it's the general bit that builds up the real community spirit.
On music forums, the band chat pages tend to be full of "Oh [lead singer] is SO hot!" and "When are [band] playing [town]?" Threads.
