Then again, I could be wrong. Maybe it's also about a real person. |

I read in an intervju that Jean is an old(girl?)friend of Fran. The funny thing is that she has heard the song, and doesen't even realise that the song is about her. And her name is not Jean.
In the same intervju Fran was asked about this book "The selfish gene", and he says it's just a coinsidence. |

On BBC Radio 2 in the UK, Jonathon Ross believed that the song was about Mr. Pop (Iggy Pop*), but Fran pretty much dismissed this claim
* I think his real name is Jean as well, but i could be wrong |
