I think everybody was quite anxious as to how this new album was going to sound and when I first heard Big Chair, I must admit I was quite disappointed.... more and more songs were released on my space, some were wow ! bang on, some were hmmm, hmm. In the end I decided to wait for the album to come out and what an amazing transformation this has made to the songs! Together they have really come to their own (contradiction ? :D) I love this album ! There is not a song I skip (ok, with Colder I move it on when all the aah and ooh start :-P ) The whole album is put together brilliantly; staring with 3 times.. through to Battleships (my fave at the moment) to My Eyes (Fran's voice just awesome) to New Amsterdam finishing with the 2 hidden songs.... Sailing Away should never been hidden!
Btw do you know The Boy is exactly the same length (give a second or 2) as the train journey from Edinburgh to Glasgow ? listening to the Boy on my way to Glasgow this warm feeling of coming home swishing all over me..lovely :)

| I love the album - their best yet and not a bad track on it. Can't stop playing it - even played it on the way home after the gig at Bournemouth. Love Dougie's contribution as well, 'Colder' |

| A really moving & pleasant album. They've not betrayed themselves & are yet evolving (though you really need to pay attention to the lil details to really appreciate it). Eyes Wide Open rocks! One Night is a gem! Big Chair : Thrilling! Battleships is like a lullaby to me. Under The Moonlight makes me feel good & nostalgiac. Colder is brilliant. My Eyes is pop at its highest; actually I love the entire album and think it's really cohesive. |

Loving the album. My Eyes is my favourite I think, but every song is awesome.

I really love the album! My favorite: selfish jean, and I really love closer, and eyes wide open. Another one...colder. Well Ireally love every song! It's great! |
