That was Canadian hockey in a nutshell, and those fans were INSANE! I've never doubted it; I live in the best country in the world.
Was Ovi even playing? Barely noticable until he hurt his hand. And Federov is still playing? He's like 90 years old!
Bring on the semis. I ate a Canada donut during the game, Im going to have to get another one on Friday.
We also won a silver and bronze in speed skating today! The bronze from Clara Hughes who is the only person in the world to have multiple medals in the summer and winter olympics.
edt: add 2 more while you are at it! we just won a gold and silver in womens bobsled. 4 medals today. all by women. |

You must have seen in your media the accusations that Finnish ice hockey team lost deliberately to the Swedes. The latest joke here is, that Sweden lost deliberately yesterday, there's even a poll of it in a tabloid (85 % says yes, they lost on purpose). |

I realized that while we beat Russia yesterday, we also passed them in the medal standings. Now in 4th! Top 3 would be amazing. Also, tied for the lead with 7 golds.
Besides national pride, and the fact that my heart would break if we lost, we HAVE TO WIN the semis. I have plans Saturday night during the bronze medal game. |

I never follow the media during big sport events, I think it's just too much. It's enough for me to watch the games. |

Well, that didnt happen did it? Although I greatly enjoyed them. They seemed to be on every time I turned on the tv, and they had most enjoyable accents, and one dude sounded exactly like Andy Dunlop.
