I am a huge fan of traveling. It doesn't matter if it is to Europe or just a bus to my college, it always makes me happy (as long as I have my MP3 player, of course). Since I came back from Europe, I can't think of anything else but traveling, my experience, the places I visited, the people I met. So a couple of days ago I was looking for travel blogs and I found this amazing website called Brave New Traveler which has a section about Travel Writing in which people from all over the world submit their stories about their trips, with anecdotes, etc. It's so inspiring! What do you like the most about traveling? In my case, it would be that feeling of waking up in a different city, in a different hostel, knowing that you are going to visit that place/spot you've always dreamed to visit. A new experience, everyday. Another great one, traveling by train. In my case, the most amazing (until now) train journey was the one I took from Edinburgh to Newcastle (to see Travis, yay!).

Here are some pics taken from the train:

If you have some interesting story, share it! : )

Cheers!

PS: I looked for a similar thread but I didn't find it. Sorry if there's one!

Wow! Beautiful photos, Leti! The second one is amazing!

I love travelling as well. By car, train, bus, plane...
Outside Argentina, I've only visited Chile, Uruguay and Brazil. I know many provinces in Argentina, but our country is so diverse that there are still lots of different places I'd love to visit (the Iguazú Falls, the glaciers, Puerto Madryn to see the whales, etc).

One trip that meant a lot to me was when I went backpacking to the nort west of Argentina. It was an incredible experience and I think it helped me grow as a person (if that makes sense).
Among other things, I walked several kilometres through a rugged area to get from one province to another, in order to visit some archaeological ruins: my friends and I missed the bus, and there were no cars passing by. We didn't have enough water, and by the time we arrived it was dark. We didn't have any flashlights, we couldn't see anything xD. Fortunatelly some kind people in the hotel at the top of the little hill (where the archaeological ruins that we couldn't see were) fell sorry for us and took us to a little town nearby in a van xD.
I also crossed the border to Bolivia and travelled in the back of a cattle truck. It was fun! :o)

Now I'm saving for my trip to Europe next year :oP.

Cool Juli!!! I went to Jujuy and Salta some time ago and I loved it too... It's a magical place indeed. I am definitely coming back!

I couldn't find my pics (they were not digital ahaha), but for those who do not know those places, here are some:

Jujuy (I guess it is the road to Humahuaca)

wonderful pics :-o

and a good idea Leticia :-)

except my own country, got to admit i did not travel that much except England, Belgium and the Netherlands...

i am always amazed by new countries like a child, i want to see everything and taste all the food and try to know more about traditions... it's what i like, and talking a lot with people. when you're a tourist and even if i speak an awful english with an awful french accent, people are always very nice with you...

if i could, i like to see more Great Britain, and America (north & south america), i would like to see Mexico and buenos aires too :-)

your pics made me dream, really :-)

Thanks guys!

You bring an interesting point Sara. The food! I love to eat... aahahaha and everytime I travel, I look at the menu and I order the dish with the weirdest name. For example, when I went to Cardiff, I went to this pub (Queen's Vaults or something like that) and I looked into the menu and read: "Bangers and mash". I knew what mash was (mashed potatoes) but I had no idea what "bangers" were... Then I found out it were sausages (thank god ajajaja) They were amazing! : )

Then I was offered an English breakfast in The Cotswolds and it was too much... I am used to eat that amount of food during lunch! aahahahah but the sausages and the mushrooms were pretty good ;)

There's no way I could eat that for breakfast, lol!

Perfect breakfast for me (minus the specs, haha):

I love travel too...I just don't do it much. :/

But I am currently planning a trip for next year...Edinburgh, Glasgow, London for about 11 days.

It's ages away but it's a great source of motivation :)

Lovely pics!

i don't want to annoy anyone with my European souvenirs, so just 2 pics of my trip in BELGIUM - Bruxelles...

(ps = sorry for the colors, i still had my old camera at this moment..)

La Grand-Place - Bruxelles : each august they made an big carpet of flowers on the place, 25x75meters of flowers :-) it was beautiful to see..and to smell too :-)

the little wee boy pissing :-) Manneken Pis in Bruxelles : i don't know if it is for the tourists, but each day they dress him with a different costume. i was amazed by the number of people around this little fountain, believe me, it was a real battle just to take one pic of him haha
