1) take back the city - snow patrol
it's just a bit dull really...lacks that umph that snow patrol had with songs like 'chasing cars'
which brings me onto my next song...
2) run - leona lewis
she killed it! although i don't actually mind leona...she's a bit better than alexandra burke...

3) hallelujah - alex burke
she killed this too! i think she's got a pretty good voice but come on...gimme a break...she's not a patch on jeff buckley, nor rufus wainwright. having said that she did a better job than leonard cohen bless him lol.
i'm starting to get the impression i only like male singers which isn't true! well...partly true.
but i do love love love katy perry, at which point i'll take the opportunity to plug 'Lost' and 'Damn' from her album as they are by far the best tracks and don't get enough recognition haha.
i suppose numbers 2 and 3 weren't technically pop songs i don't like, because i do like run and hallelujah, i just don't like those versions...but oh well :)
songs i do like at the moment, which i hope become popular (because they are fantastic), are 'wonderful' by Gary Go who i saw live supporting the script not long ago and who was wonderful lol, and 'roll away your stone' by mumford and sons because i recently saw them live too and they were wonderful! :D xx
and i appologise for the essay but i could go on all day. evidently. :) |
