He thinks he is a flower to be looked at
And when he pulls his frilly nylon panties right up tight
He feels a dedicated follower of fashion.

Sunday Morning Coming Down - Johnny Cash
Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

Green Bubble Raincoat Man - Amon DĂșĂșl II
Two races keep me in action
Don't bother about my reaction
I had to learn a lot from my master
All I say is try to get the green-bubble-raincoated main
Green bubble raincoated man
Don't stay in the rain again
Drink this poisoned cup of tea
Wait and wonder what you'll see
Gimme back my crystal mirror
And you gonna be a hero
Green bubble raincoated man
Don't stay in the rain

Steeleye Span - All Around My Hat
All around my hat,
I will wear the green willow
All around my hat,
For a twelvemonth and a day
And if anyone should ask me the reason why I'm wearing it,
It's all for my true love,
Who is far, far away

The Velvet Underground - All Tomorrow's Parties
And what costume shall the poor girl wear
To all tomorrow's parties
A hand-me-down dress from who knows where
To all tomorrow's parties

Don't Cry for Me Argentina
Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

Shifting my weight now from foot to foot
What did she see in this man
I'm not superstitious but if I can get
This ball in the basket, then he'll wake up dead
Your sweet reassurances don't' change the fact
That he's better looking than me
Yet he'd look ideal 'neath the wheels of a car
Oh Mexican standoff I wish I was hard
Elbow: Mexican Standoff
and if Mexico isn't south enough (damn, I suppose this refers to Mexico, too, I always thought it was Rio in Brazil):
Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand
Just like that river twisting through a dusty land
And when she shines she really shows you all she can
Oh Rio, Rio dance across the Rio Grande
Duran Duran: Rio
And then there's the Mike Flowers Pops' version of Don't Cry For Me Argentina, where he shouts Heyy, Argentina in the Macarena style. |

Chile your Waters Run Red (through Soweto)
Chile your waters run red through Soweto
If you heard about Chile then you heard about Soweto
Where the blood of oppression runs deep as the mine
Chile your waters run red though Soweto
The hand that choked the spirit of Allende
Pulls the trigger of a gun on the children of Soweto
Chile your waters run red through Soweto
The hand that cut short the song of Victor Jara
Put young Steven Biko in a dusty hill grave
Chile your waters run red through Soweto
The hand of oppression is the hand of hunger
The waters of Chile lap the shores of Cape Fear
Chile your waters run red through Soweto
The same hand
The same water

The bandit of Brazil
Ole he is a bandit
The bandit of Brazil
"The Bandit of Brazil" (O Congaceiro)
I had to look up the spelling of "congaceiro", hopefully it's right. What does it mean? |

Orinoco Flow- Enya
Let me sail, let me sail
Let the Orinoco Flow
Let me reach, let me beach
On the shores of Tripoli
Let me sail, let me sail
Let me crash upon your shore
Let me reach, let me beach
Far beyond the Yellow Sea
De, de
De, de
De, de
De, de
De, de
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
Sail away, sail away, sail away
From Bissau to Palau
In the shade of Avalon
From Fiji to Tiree
And the Isles of Ebony
From Peru to Cebu
Feel the power of Babylon
From Bali to Cali
Far beneath the Coral Sea
