BAHAHA! That made me laugh soooo much! Glasses pretty giant. Remember, I have a giant hippoish head. Or face. Or something.
I cant believe I am sitting here at work after that weekend. It is also the worst time ever for my laptop to be broken as I cant upload pics, but Im going to try to do that here so that they are atleast somewhere other than my camera and I can stop worrying (I was literally on the plane thinking that if it crashed, I hope someone would find my camera and post the pics, lol).
Linds, sorry your flight was delayed! Thats a bummer! Mine was a little bit too. Didnt get home until 2am. Im ridiculously tired but it was so worth it.
Such an amazing weekend! All of you people exceeded my expectations times 100000. I dont know how it happened that all these people that happen to like the same band, and found each other online had such an amazing time and an immediate connection.
I miss you all already.
The coffee is brewing and Im going to see what I can do about these pics. I mean...go work really hard (I hereby nominate myself as worst employee ever today!). I kinda think my 400 are going to go over the photobucket limit so we may need to start more accounts.
P.S-LOVE the gong pic Sandy! Thanks for posting that so quick. I have lots of proposal pics to get you.
P.S.S- Have fun in Clevland today girls! I can't wait until tomorrows show in Toronto
P.S.S.S- I think Andy Monkey should be walking in his front door right about now.

I just got on the computer for the first time. I haven't read through the thread yet, but...
Oh man, the weekend was like my ultimate rock 'n' roll fantasy. I had soooooo much fun. Being at my first concert in 16 years, being surrounded by my new boardie friends...it was just the best! I can't remember the last time I've been so sleep deprived and sore and hoarse and happy all at the same time!
And Cleveland tonight. Ahhhhhhh!!!!! I can't stop internally screaming!!!!!
Edit: And where the heck is my camera cable??? It's been here at my fingertips for a year and NOW I can't find it??? I want to show you all my Fran picture!! |

wow you guys really did have a rock n roll weekend. I hope the hotel rooms didn't suffer too much ;-)
Thanks Anne for trying to find out about the possible UK dates - you've confirmed what I pretty much expected!! Shame really but they do need to have a bit of a break and time with their families.
Keep the photos coming...... |

I had such a great time this weekend too. Everyone is so delightful and I agree with Kristy, it's amazing that the love of a band brought us together. I never would have met any of you if it weren't for Travis. This makes me love them more. (is that possible?)
I considered bringing my laptop to work today so I could work on uploading pics but I'm gonna have a hard enough time working so I decided to leave it at home. I actually don't have that many since when I saw how many everyone else was taking I figured I'd just leech off of their hard work.
Kristy, I saw some proposal pics that you or Nikki dumped onto my computer so I emailed those to Sandy last night. |

Yay, good for you! Isn't it one of the best feelings in the world? You're beaten but it's so worth it! |

Okay, I just uploaded a few of my many many pictures. I'm going to put the ones of the proposal in that thread, but here is a little sample of the pictures from me. I think it goes to show how good the weekend is, that none of these are even show pics (well, ones with the guys, but not actual concert). Thats how much fun we had independant of the concert.
Oodles of Noodles!

Me,Claes and Nik

Dougie and some weirdos

I didnt realize how drunk I looked until this was put on my computer. That was alcohol free too!

Words cannot explain how much I love this picture

I'm told this is the first pic with Neil and FT. Im proud to be in it.

Some very lovely tall people

More lovely tall people

Cool Kids Wear Plaid. I'm looking kinda rough. Post gig. No idea what time it was. My guess is 2am-ish

We didnt make it through the weekend without a stabbing!

The day after the gig. Tour buses gone. Posters gone. At that point, Mer, Sandy and Anne gone. It rained on us

Look what we found!

2 of my favourite Scottish people

I love this picture so much. Fran's classic lean. Oh ya, I own that shirt in purple. Nikki and I buy the same clothes without knowing it. We really are BLTs

Teehee.

Okay, that was a lot! Hope you enjoy!
More being posted in the proposal thread, and I will get the other 350 or so uploaded soon!
Enjoy |

This might sound dumb but I was delighted that I almost convinced Dougie to go do karaoke with us. His face just lit up when I asked him and showed him how it was just down the street. He said he would but they were leaving in 30 minutes. I told him I was in with the doorman and the DJ (which I was from us going there Friday night) and promised I could get us at the top of the list (which, ask the other ABCers, I totally could have) but he said no.
I was excited that he even thought about it. You can tell when they are just being polite when someone invites them for a drink or whatever. This was sincerely considering it. Even though I didn't succeed in fulfilling my fantasy of doing karaoke with Dougie I felt it was a victory that it almost happened. |

I'm afraid to ask, but what time did the guys come out afterward? We hung around for awhile, but we had to catch our *last* train out to the 'burbs. |

I really think he would have come if they werent leaving for Clevland in 1/2 an hour. He really was considering it. Maybe I shouldnt have told him that we butchered Turn the night before, and he would have come.
Ya, that doorman would have gotten it done.
Anne, also a highlight was you asking: "do you ever got hot in that coat?"

Oh yeah! Maybe I should post on the thread on T chat about his coat but the answer was "sometimes." And then I said, "so basically you suffer for your fashion?" and he laughed and said that was a good way of putting it.
And Lizzie I don't remember the exact time but it was for sure after midnight maybe even closer to 1. I totally lost track of time especially after the Dusty McNugget dude.
I wish I had seen you. I don't really know what you look like but I was hoping you'd spot one of us and say hi. |
