It's a Creative Zen X-fi mediaplayer(a lot like an I-pod, but better ;)) Very cool! It won a prize for best image and sound 2008!

I've never owned a proper mp3-player before so this is a new experience for me, it has a lot of cool functions and the design is really nice! Only problem is that I have to charge it for 4 hours now, but then I'll fill it with Travis :D
The memory is 16 GB, but you can upgrade it with a memory card :)

One of Trevor And Simon came in my shop today, he's well aged! And some random student took a picture of me for his fashion course, and some other lady told me I make a great Scooter Girl :D

I like my work :)

Oooh, I nearly got one of those but fell in love with a snazzier one and got that instead :D It should arrive tomorrow! I had a few problems with my Zen (normal version) but apparently these have been sorted out for the new Zen X-Fis, so you'll be fine. Oh, and you're right that it's better than an iPod ;)

I have a Zen Sleek (20gb), 653 Albums on it and it's only 75% full, I've had it for about 4 years now and I've never had any problems with it. The software is so easy to use it's unbelievable.

I had to set up an Ipod (120gb Classic) recently for my Dad. NOT IMPRESSED at all, you can put music on it but you can't take it off without deleting it, wtf is that all about ?? also it wouldn't play mp3, I had to convert to something called "acc" or some pish, where the size of the files are fucking massive compared to mp3. Also I DO NOT want a fucking ITUNES ACCOUNT so fuck off asking me every two fucking minutes, and even though it costs nothing you can't get Album Art without an account.

I would by another Zen over ipod any day my only complaint is that the Zen range don't cater for the larger sizes, I'd maybe like a 100gb so I could rip my full collection at a higher quality.

Yeah I think the greatest thing with the zen is that it supports so many different file-endings. It's really nice not having to convert everything.

If I enjoy watching movies on it, I'll probably buy a menory card for it! Do you have a card slot on yours?

Ps. I hate I-tunes too! It's really a crappy way of keeping customers.. If you buy an I-pod and set up an I-tunes account, youll probably go for another I-pod the next time. Well I don't know exactly how the system works, but I don't like it anyway :P

No Card Slot on mine, it's pretty much 2nd Generation.

The problem I have with ITunes accounts and stuff, is that I reckon it's only going to be a matter of time before they can check your Ipod/computer for bootlegs and illegal downloads.

I would consider the X-fi as it's around €220 here for the 32Gb version and you can get an 16Gb SD card to bring it up to 48gb, Don't know if I would bother with movies tho' I'm more of a music head really.

*edit* btw treat yourself to a decent set of Headphones, the creative ones are sh!t, I'd reccommend Sony, and pend about €50 that should give you good enough sound for an mp3 player.

Yeah I think I'll do so, the creative ones seem to have too much treble or something??

Is 16 GB the largest memory card out there? I don't know much about these things, I only know that we have a 128 mb card for our camera :P

While we're on the subject, I just bought myself a real piece of junk over the weekend. I wanted to get a little speaker thingy for my iPod, because I thought music in the kitchen would be really groovy. Well, I got what I paid for, because this thing sounds worse than an AM transistor radio. I hope the store will take it back.

HMV just called me to say they have my Graham Coxon cd that I ordered last week! I've wanted it for months, but thought there'd be no point ordering it cos last time I ordered something it took so long. I'm all happy now :)

That happens qutie often with these things, I had speakers way back for a portble CD player (discman type thing) they were expensive and they ate batteries and they wer sh!t. My mate has Creative Travel Speakers for his mp3 player (part of a package £35 on their own). I think if it's possible to try before you buy then do so and it may be better to spend that lttle extra.

I recently picked up a Philips DC1010 CD Sound Machine with iPod Dock for Dee, sound is very good and it's still quite small, it was €70 and it'll play CDs nad has a radio plus an input jack so basically you can plug in anything that takes headphones.

The only thing I would say is that if you charge your Ipod (or any other device for that matter) constantly (without it running right down) it shortens the battery life. All of these "Speaker" docks, hi-fi's, boomboxes, etc charge the Ipod when you "dock" it.

would someone please compose an epitaph for my future?
thanks.
tomorrow is my first written final, and I'm nervous. no, that's wrong. I'm panicking. I went online to calm down, but in five minutes I have to review about 50 pages *sigh*.

since I'm NOT in a "credit system" course (Germany didn't really have the BA/MA system until 2005), the exams that are now coming up are the ONLY ones that determine my end grade. no matter how great my grades were in seminars etc.
hate that system.
so please, I need you to cross your fingers and toes for me tomorrow for my politics final. US politics will be my downfall. (errr, that would be 1-3p.m. board-time, I think).
and on thursday morning: ENGLISH.
and on friday: LINGUISTICS.

*sigh*

once those 3 exams are over, I'll have to start studying for the oral ones in April (English, British/American Cultural Studies and American History)
and once those 3 are done - it'll be dissertation-time.
and then, in August, Business/Economics-time.
and then, in September/October: SPANISH (aaaargh, why did I have to choose SPANISH, Mónica?! ;P)
and THEN I need a Job.
today a friend of mine lost his (job). bc of the crisis... great time to graduate.

*off to panic a little more*
