that is the greatest picture in the history of mankind. It would probably be more accurate if i was wearing my Messier jersey though!
And is it sad that I have the book with that pic in? Mark Messier: Steel on Ice (US title: Dragon Slayer). Im pretty sure i have read it atleast 6 times.
oh man, Few things in life have made me happier!
edit: upon closer inspection, it appears as though he is grabbing my ass. |

I did not need a closer inspection to see this. It's the first thing I noticed. This is what makes the picture super uber awesome. |

jock hanging in the background, teeny tiny towel, beer in hand...
oh i do love hockey players!
Haha, now Anne is the dirty bird for noticing that right away. Maybe if i wasnt at work i would have bc the first time i saw it i went "ah!" and immediatly minimized it
edit: upon closer closer inspection, there are goalie pads (and old school ones at that!) behind him, so he isnt at his spot in the locker room which means this might be a post Stanley Cup celebration. Maybe 84. I'll see what the caption in the book says when i get home.
coincidence that Mark Messier won his first Stanley Cup and the Conn Smyth the year i was born? i think not! |
