all i want is a Noel Solo is that ever going to fucking happen? seriously.
To be honest, if Liam could still sing live then I'd have no problem with them carrying on. He does sound fucking terrible now though which is a shame cause I still think they have the tunes. Don't Believe The Truth was a good album, a fucking great album by any other band's standards.
Noel solo? Maybe, but he's always said he didn't want to be the one up front singing with Oasis so would he want to do it on his own? Time will tell. Seeing as you're such a fan of him though, here's him doing a cover of To Be Someone by The Jam. It's fecking quality!

I agree with you there man, Liam sounded DREADFUL at the Brits, that night I knew I was watching a band that was on it's arse. |

Listen to Definitely Maybe, in particular Slide Away, and tell me that is not a great voice. These days, and I hate to say it, Liam more often than not, sounds like a foghorn. |

He snatches at words now rather than just singing them. |

Slide Away is one of my favourite songs ever. But I'm just saying I thought Oasis werent about having good/bad voice. A voice is a voice.
And voices do often get worse as the person ages, listen to Bob Dylan now, his voice is rough as fuck, doesnt mean that he is shite. |

Fair enough, it's not all about the voice but it still has to be listenable and Liam's ain't any more I'm afraid (at least not live, seems to be fine on record....the wonders of technology eh?)
Listen don't get me wrong, I love Oasis. They are the band that got me playing a guitar. They are THE band of my generation, and they have songs that people will still be listening to 50 years from now.
And by the way, Dylan's voice was always crap. ;o) |
