i hope i explained it ok
Ok, I'm coming via Amsterdam and in first class with Air France.
It's ok cause we share the costs right ?
Na seriously, this isn't gonna work. |

I doubt Travis would pay for any of it (could be wrong but i just don't think they would!). However, the involvement of the TWT could be useful. It's a good idea that one.
Good to see that even far away boardies are willing to travel to Glasgow for it. It's a good sign that it'll actually go ahead.
Is anyone else quite excited by the prospect? :) haha |

Very noble but may I be the first to say no way i'm paying £300 for a ten minute train ride.
Not sure what I think about the idea as a whole just now, the theory is nice and it could be great, it could also be very very bad, ie. awkward central |

I don't know if the people paying for other people thing would work, but i think this really could work. And we'd love to have even the sceptics there if it does happen :) |

I doubt it'd be that awkward. It's not as if we're all totally alien to each other. And any time i've met boardies, it's been pretty easy going. Like the last time at the Barrowlands, i'd only met Kirstin, Craig and Gladly before- yet by the end of the night, it felt as if everyone had known everyone for longer than a few hours. So i don't think it'd be that awkward, based on previous experience |

I agree with you. I also think that people should pay for their own transport/accommodation, that saves any arguments. |

this = the convention ? lol
I know some other people from another board do this too.
They meet twice or three times a year so that people can generally come at least once.
It works for them so why not for Travis's fans ? :o)

You're right to an extent I think, but think of how much this would be built up, especially for people travelling thousands of miles, it'd be hyped for weeks and months, and then when the day comes, it could be this weird anti-climax. Not because of the idea itself, but maybe people not mixing well, or people clashing. Just a thought. |

ok, chill - i was just trying to find a friendly way of helping others get to this 'do', that otherwise could not afford, maybe it was idealistic

Not mixing well ? Well, apart from the languages problems, I don't see why it would be awkward.
Once everyone knows who is who etc I'm sure people would start talking etc without any problem |
