Loved it. Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush are fantastic. |

Nowhere near as good as the first two, storyline (vatican part) is a bit ludicrous. Sophia Coppola's acting skills are non-existant. (However she did go on to direct Lost in Translation which is an amazingly beautiful film.) I think if it was a stand alone film it would be ok, but as part of The Godfather series it doesn't work, for me anyway.

This was great. Jeff Bridges was really good in this, and Hailee Steinfeld was brilliant--especially for her first movie.
I also saw:
which was really good as well. Christian Bale was very believable as a crackhead/douche, and Mark Wahlberg, Wow. |

A remake of the John Wayne classic, I wouldn't mind seeing that. "Fill your hands you son of a..."

Oooh, I do have to admit that I've never seen the original John Wayne version, so I don't know if they did it justice, but I enjoyed it.
Jeff Bridges has a really heavy southern accent (very mumbly) so might be hard for a lot of people to understand. I work with some people to talk like that, so it wasn't so bad for me ;) |

ooh, I want to see both of those Sandy. Did you know that one of the sisters in The Fighter is Conan O'Brien's sister? |

You should check out the original, it's very cheesey in places but it is an excellent piece of American Hollywood Cinema.

I think I will. I think it's the only movie where John Wayne won an Academy Award for best actor. I'm sure there'll be some cheesy parts, but I think it was part of the style back then. I'd like to hear what you think of the Coen brothers version and how it compares. |

I didn't like The Godfather movies. I heard so much about them all my life that one day we had a Godfather marathon. Ugh. Not my thing. |

Each to their own, I loved them but then I love pretty much all Gangster films, Goodfellas, White Heat, Once Upon a Time in New York, Casino, Heat (LA Takedown), The King of New York, etc. etc. but I can understand how the Godfather films may not appeal, they are very dated and very slow moving in places.

I thought it was pretty funny and Emma Stone was great.
Meh. I thought it was kind of boring.
Brilliant! Two words: Mr. Darcy. |

Just saw and really liked it. Way funnier than I thought it would be. Although there were some parts that only my friends and I laughed at. |
