Diced pizza in Dayton? Like, from Cassano's or what? That's the only place I can think of that serves pizza squared and not sliced. Never liked it much myself, Cassano's that is, the crust is always to salty, but then I haven't had it in years.

Mmmmm, Skyline. Dak, I found a pretty good recipe for making Cincinnati chili that is ALMOST the same as the real thing. I could hook you up if you'd like. I want some now, dammit. And it's five way for me, thanks.

There was article in the paper yesterday about an Skyline Chili eating contest and I tried to explain what Cincinnati chili was to one of my coworkers and she thought I was crazy. We eat chili over spaghetti?? Perish the thought! I thought it best at that point not to get into the whole 3-way, 5-way, inverted, semi-inverted details lest she think me completely flippin' insane

oh myy god! I am just back from Skyline Chili! The spaghetti must be boiled at least 4 hours ago and waited in the water that they were so fat and tasted watery:) But yeah, that's just great!

Any more advices for different tastes? I am ready and confident to taste everything:)

your not selling me on this chili and spaghetti combo. I highly recommend fry sauce. Shouldn't eat french fries without it!

C'mooon but it is a 4-way with onion;)

In person I prefer ranch sauce instead of mayonnaise, ketchup or their mixture:) http://farm1.static.flickr.com/146/336143899_51fb47f7d6.jpg

Yep, this sounds right! And yes, 4-way or 5-way is great. If you don't want to eat chili, you can get lentils at Skyline as well, which are pretty good. And Skyline is best when you are really drunk and don't have the sober mind to contemplate on spaghetti's miserable state of being. Perfect!

And Cincinnati is very hilly. The landscape is very nice. It is true that it is more like Kentucky and airport gets very confusing. The first time I arrived to Cincinnati, I saw the sign "Welcome to Kentucky" at the airport. I was thinking where is Ohio? did I make a mistake? :)

The area around the school was great. Sitwells was the place to have coffee. Bogarts was fun for small concerts. And Mount Adams was the place to go. Downtown did not have much when I was there, other than having the first draft structures for Empire States and Brooklyn Bridge (I always thought engineers were too scared to screw up in New York, so they first tried them in Cincinnati:) I think Zaha's Contemporary Arts Museum must have changed the whole downtown Cincinnati experience.

I would like to go there sometime. I will only have a connection in Cincinnati this time. Maybe I will come to stay next time...

Yes, this is where I saw Travis for the second time, almost seven years ago now! The bathrooms were scary (I dropped an earplug and it rolled away into another stall, ha) but it was awesome.

How long will you wait at the airport?

Ahhh, Bogarts! Good times! (Though, as far as small venues in Cincinnati go...I really liked the Southgate House, which, again, isn't even in Cincinnati, but in Newport, KY. I think I only went to one show there, and there was only, like, ten people at the show. (of course I'm exaggerating, but there weren't many.) This was the Sheila Divine, who I thought were great! And Local Band Ruby Velios, who put prayer candles on the tables, and my sister took one when we left. Dunno if we were supposed to, so she hid it in her jacket on the way out just in case. I have to call her and make sure she still has it!.

I saw Hot hot heat at Top Cats (I don't think it's around anymore is it?)...Muse played there, and I am stupid for not going to see them. It must've been crazy, the stage is like the size of a postage stamp there.
