What a rubbiah first period. Shocking in fact.
The Norwegian goalie hasn't had anything difficult to save all night. All shots straight at the badge or in the bread basket.
Get the finger out. |

that's better, boys. And it's all because I put on my Canada sweater at intermission.
You're welcome, nation. |

Wooohoo! It's because Stevie knows how to put a team together. :)
I'm rooting for Team Canada in hockey and USA in everything else. :) And if Team Canada doesn't win, I want Team Sweden to win hockey.

I want Finland to win, my second team is Canada. And because I'm Finnish, I definitely don't want Sweden or Russia to win ;^)
Finland beating Sweden in the 1995 World Championships finals in Sweden is still talked about here, the match was even on tv again the other day! Mind you, Team Finland hasn't done much to talk about ever since. [sigh]
Well, at least the ladies' team is in the final four! |

Buhu Mili, are you declaring war against my nation? :O If so, I want Canada or USA to win, in case Sweden doesn't ;)
I'm getting nervous, Sweden's first match (tonight). |

I told a friend in Ottawa that if (WHEN) we make it to the finals, Im coming up for the weekend because I want to party on Parliament Hill.
It was pretty ridiculous when we won in 2002. I can't even imagine what it would be like to win on home soil.
This still gives me goosebumps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3b-OyqvsrQ

It's not THAT serious, Alex! Good luck with your games, may the best team win!
Seriously, I don't think Finns will be causing too much trouble to anyone, the start of the games has been a great disappointment (that'll affect the team spirit) and in ice hockey we're still relying on some from the 1995 team… |

If this Olympics has taught us anything, it is that you never trust anything but a Zamboni.

Our medal-hope Anja Pärsson had a terrible crash in the ladies-downhill, really scary. There were many crashes in that event, maybe you should check the safety Kristy? ;)
Yeah our ladies are up against Canada tonight and our men will take on Germany in their first game, but I have work tomorrow so I won't be able to watch either of the games *MEGA SAD-FACE* They are on really late over here. |

Sure, I'll get right on that. It's only about a 6 hour flight away.
I have to work late tomorrow and will miss part of the Canada/Swiss game. I should be gone by 8 and the game is at 7:30, so I wont miss much, but still! Lame pants.
My officemate's parents are at the medal ceremony tonight. Should see Maelle Ricker get her gold from yesterday's snowboarding.
Oh, did anyone see the Norweigan curling team's pants yesterday? They were...interesting.
