yup i agree ive never thought oasis have done anything for music really and there certainly not a great rock band
that's just stupid lol, Oasis were ONE of the first bands to give us indie music or alternative rock, call it what you will.
i've heard many a person say they are not a great live band or that they have made a career of the back of one/two good album(s),which is fair enough. but not done anything for music is crazy, had oasis, blur, pulp and the likes of the charlatans, supergrass and kula shaker not done what they did for british music in the early-mid 90s then we would be far, far worse of than we are now. |

That was 7 years ago though.
I'm not saying Oasis have always been shit, just that I think it's time to perhaps retire gracefully (first thing they'll have ever done that way) rather than hang on for dear life as the quality goes downhill as has happened with a lot of bands |

I don't think it was a bad record from what I've heard of it but certainly in my opinion they've never produced anything as good as their early albums.
..and as I say I really hope they don't turn into one of these bands who continue to churn out albums long after they should have given it up and so tarnish their reputation |
