wow, mine is away 12 hours of the day and since he gets home exhausted helps me, but only with little things, like dishes, helping with cooking and so on.

At the moment I'm the one who has longer working hours, so the house work falls more on his shoulders. When we lived abroad and I was basically a housewife (I studied a bit then, too) I did most of the jobs. I think it's important to be flexible and that the one who has more time does more at home, it's really nothing to do with the gender. I'm just happy that this is the situation in my home, since there are plenty of people who think men shouldn't do women's jobs and vice versa.
I think I'm quite lucky since my man does all of the above. My friends seem to think I am blessed. lol
I'm lucky, too. I haven't hoovered for years, he does most of the other cleaning, too, dishes and even some ironing, and knows how the washing machine works. I like cooking, so I don't mind doing it. I also do most of the ironing.

Well mine is up at 5.30am every morning and gets home before me 6.00pm so he tidies up the kitchen and prepares dinner for me getting home from work at 7.00pm (or 9.00pm). I do the laundry and majority of the cleaning (but I like doing it my way). But he does do alot compared to most men. We have a deal where he will cook and I clean, but he cleans a little too. He's a great cook and I'm rubbish (unless it's lasagne lol) so makes sense.
