My other friend is wearing a long, sleeveless, black dress with some kinda fluffy collar. She said not furry like a polar bear, but sort of frilly.
My favorite jewelry is a crystal necklace I got in Austria and sparkly crystal earrings. |

#1 is way cute but like everyone else has said, too casual for a reception.
I actually like the classic Jackie O feel on #2 but would insist that you wear red heels or something to give it a little kick
#3 definitely catches my eyes. The stripes and the shape is nice.
I really like the shape of #4. So flowy and I bet it's very comfortable. This too would need a few accessories and stuff to give it some flava'.

I LOVE #4 Kayte! You would look great in it and you could use if for several different occasions. Like the other's suggested...you could dress it up with jewelry, purse and shoes! Go for it! |

Kayte, this is what I wore to my cousin's wedding last year. It was November in Ohio so I wanted sleeves.

Ooooh, I really love 2 and 3! I like the simplicity and elegance of 2 and 3 looks fun. I'd probably opt for 2 myself cos I'd definitely get more wear out of it :) |

I'm for Number 3!
I like Number 4, too...
edit: I guess #4 would be better for Kayte, and it's a classic. and it doesn't have a turtleneck ;P |

Ok, I went shopping yesterday and I had a blast. The store was deserted, I had the whole dress department to myself. I probably tried on 10 different ones. I really liked
but it looked terrible on me. I looked like Mrs. Potatohead on New Year's Eve. To pull that one off, I'd have to echo Moray's request and ask Santa for boobs for Christmas.
I ended up buying the #2 black dress I showed before, and
this one. It has beading at the bottom, but it's hard to see.
They were 50% off!! Woo hoo! |

Oh, see I am with Alex on this one. I never knew you could wear black to a wedding! Funeral, yes...but not a wedding. I don't know anyone who has worn black to a wedding lol. Hmmm and weddings I've been too...no black.
I am going to look into this a bit more. Is it a country thing? hmmmm
Regardless, that's a LOVELY dress Kayte!
I like the greeny one too! Lush. |

agreeding with you is pretty kooky.
Boys wear black suits, why cant girls wear black? I think not wearing black is more old fashion, but perhaps that isnt the norm everywhere. |
