AND you are Anne with an E. Like Anne of Green Gables!
Yes can you believe they even changed their last name so it would include "An"???
And being kin to Anne of Green Gables does up my coolness factor indeed. I love that Anne girl!!
Lauren, I had no idea your first name was Laurence and not Lauren.
Anne of Green Gables! :)
I went to a store in her hometown with only stuff of her.
I got a doll.

I'm Morag (yes, that is my real name), it's the Scots version of Sarah. Mor is gaelic for great, so the translation apparently is great one! |

Lilian.
which is kind of a universal name, I guess.
Mine is pronounced un-English, though (though I only hate the German version of the "English" pronunciation, because usually they make it sound like "Lilli-Enn")
My middle name's "Shirin" (old persian name, meaning "sweet")
My last employer (a librarian) told me I should write a book because of my full name being perfect for a book cover ;D
Nice thread, by the way, I was always wondering what people's real names were :) |

I used to have a girlfriend called Margo, many moons ago. And talking of pure Scottishness my sister has a set of friends Hamish & Heather.

That would be "Sielu" in Finnish, but nobody is called that here.
We have the same word (Alma) in old Turkish = it means apple, and sometimes red:) Your name would be 'Ruhsen' in Turkish :) |

My name's Gozde. (with double dots on 'o'). It means 'favorite'. Nice to meet you all in real names:)
Nice name! How do you pronounce it?
Haha, it's pretty hard to write:) I think, you can say it like that: Goes-day :Pronounce the 'go' in first part as you pronounce 'gi' in 'girl' and omit the 'y' in the second part(day):)
Edit: ...and Fabiola, your name sounds like Fabulous :)
Exactly ... mi nickname in the messenger right now is "Fab Fab", hahaha! |
