I spent 30 quid on a bottle of whiskey.
And it's not even for me. |

Love Will Come Through came on the speakers while i was getting my hair cut.
My hairdresser loves them and they are her boyfriends favourite band. It was like I was in some wierd parallel universe where people in this country know who Travis are! |

I cut my own fringe today, i think it worked out ok. I look more interesting now anyway, and it cost less! I got a little bit carried away though, so it's a tad bit too short... |

They played a Rick Astley song (Never Gonna Give You Up... or whatever it's called) twice while I was getting my hair cut. Nearly the same thing... not! I thought it was a joke: twice in 30 minutes! |

I know! But I'm ok with the result though... unlike that time when my fringe suffered because a famous football player came in and said hi to my hairdresser in the exact same moment he was cutting my fringe. MartÃn Palermo is amazing and I love him, and he plays in the best team in the world (Boca Juniors, we won the championship today, thank you very much! :oP)... but I wanted to kill him at the time.

I am at work. And would like you to entertain me.
I brought baked goods with the hopes that it would put people in a good mood and thus, they will send us home early. |

I'm sure even Kristy's baked goods couldn't be THAT bad. |

I've just been shopping for tomorrow's dinner cause everywhere will be fucking shut, inconsiderate bastards. I'm gonna bang on some Mogwai at extremely high volume and tidy up a bit, then probably wind down with a couple of pints and the paper in my local.

I have to get a few more presents for my kids and one for my husband. One of us has to get food for our dinner tomorrow.
Then we'll go to church. I'll stay for the last service as I'm helping with a puppet show for the wee ones.
Then once the kids are asleep we'll finish wrapping the presents.
I know I sound dreadfully unprepared but we did all of our extended family stuff the last few days in Houston so I had to focus on that first and then this whole weekend I couldn't go shopping because I was too busy opening presents 5 different times.
And I know exactly what I'm getting and where so it won't be so bad. |

went grocery-shopping yesterday, because: today all the shops closed at 1 p.m. and they'll stay closed until Saturday morning. Bought food for 5 days, because Saturday-shopping after two bank holidays would be crazy.
and today, I:
- worked on my dissertation
- will bake more Christmas biscuits/cookies
- will watch "A Christmas Carol" (from 1984), courtesy of a proud Shrewsbury-born friend.

I met a cute mod lad at work, he liked my eyes and I liked his hair.
It must be love. |
