We had a Pinapple Express come through here and dump 6 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Theres some pretty major flooding on most of the rivers in Western Washington. Luckily I don't live by one.
Ok, I'll be the one to ask. What is a Pineapple Express? I'm assuming some weird weather pattern.
Its a very strong weather system that comes from down around the Hawaian islands and brings above average temperatures, wind, and lots and lots of rain. |

Today was one of the VERY rare occasions where Detroit Public Schools were open and my district closed. (Most districts around here take their cue from Detroit.) But I'm not complaining. YAY!! I don't have to leave the house today! My husband got a same-day dental appointment because they had so many cancellations, so he's happy, too.
It's a lovely 11ºF (-12ºC). Bright and sunny with lots of ice. |

I hear you. My mum's friend went to Brussels and came back this week. She brought one gorgeous box of chocolates for each of us (my bro, my sis and me). An entire box of delicious Belgian chocolate just for me! |
