But. It's actually AWESOME! It has Ellen Page and Kristen Wiig and Zoe Bell and Juliette Lewis and cute indie boys AND a totally rad soundtrack. Dude, what's not to love? Plus the chicks are really cool and badass. I haven't enjoyed any movie so much in aaaaaages.
I loved this movie!! The roller derby got big here again in the last few years. I sooo want to go see it someday, but I have a feeling the chicks aren't as cool as the girls in the movie ;) I think they filmed this movie in Austin. The roller derby is huge there. |

I watched Hellboy and Last Life in the Universe earlier today. Hellboy was kind of fun but forgettable, and Last Life was really interesting but a bit slow. |

One flew over the cuckoo's nest : Very good. Jack Nicholson is a great actor ... especially when he must play crazy characters !
Donnie Darko : strange but good too. I cried at the end, thanks to Mad World by Gary Jules, I just love this cover. But the rabbit in the movie scared me ! (I know, I'm a coward :P)
Fight club : ... what an end !
American History X : strong movie. But great. |

I Came in Through the Bathroom Window Posted Tue 23 Feb, 2010 7:47 PM |
Last week I saw an excellent Argentinian movie called El Secreto De Sus Ojos (The Secret In Their Eyes??).
I'd been wanting to see it since it came out, but I was studying at the time and couldn't make it. Now, with the Academy Award nomination for best foreign language film, there's this one theatre that's started to play it again.
I loved it. It's one of my favourite films ever. It's got some funny parts and I was so nervous I was crumpling a piece of paper in my hands, lol.
And I was able to emphatise with Francella's character. Francella is an actor that usually does the worst films ever, he's so vulgar. I can't believe he was actually good in this movie and not at all over the top, haha.
Fully recommended!

I saw Disney's "The Princess and the Frog." Too long. Too boring and complicated for kids, not interesting enough for adults. I think they used every Louisiana cultural stereotype in the book in this movie. As usual, Disney animation was lovely, but other than that, the songs were forgettable, characters were caricatures & stereotypes. I never care to see it a second time. |

Oh, really? It's a shame, but it's good to know. I wanted to see it, since it looks like a classical Disney movie. I've got nothing against Pixar and all that stuff, but I miss normal cartoons, haha. |

Just watched "Taken" with Liam Neeson, he's not really an action star, although it is a very short and to the point film, believe Luc Besson had something to do with it. the acting is wooden and the storyline is over the top, he's a sort of Ronin type but he doesn't have the coolness of de Nero or Reno to pull it off, sorry.
It's not bad if you wanna switch off for an hour or so.
