lol, the latter one! I need one cause our American friends don't think we deserve to get in without it! Which is pretty sad cause we're their allies in every war etc. but who cares, apparently.

Darran, you don't need a visa unless you have a passport that is not machine-readable. |

Yes. My friend, Agy, applied last year. She wanted to spend summer with her family in the US so her aunt had to send her an official invitation and then Agy had an interview at the Consulate in Cracow. Consul told her she's gonna go there for sure but not this time. And that was it. She didn't get a Visa just because! |

all of that to visit?? Not even as a student or to work?
Crazy.

Yeah, I thought you only needed a visa if you were trying to work here or were going to actually live here for a while. |

Being a Travel Agent I can tell you all UK citizens do from 12th Jan. Ok it's still part of the Visa Waiver Scheme but you have to do it before you travel or the berks at the airport turn you away on the next plane home.

Apparently you get asked if you are involved in Espionage amongst other things. My mate had to fill one out the other day.

If someone were involved in espionage, would they say yes?
"Why yes, I am heavily involved in espionage. Be careful, my bow tie is really a camera." |
