My boyfriend lived in Zambia as a boy among other interesting places. He got Malaria and nearly died. His mother is a doctor so she took care of him in the hotel where they lived because she didn't trust the hospitals there. What took you to Zambia? For my boyfriend's family, they were trying to leave Poland because it wasn't a good situation there in the early 80s. It was one of their stops trying to make it to the U.S. for a better life.
i was born in Zambia whilst my dad was teaching Physics out there, my mum was a nurse and i got a lot of chest infections and she made homemade steam tents for the same reason (also the nearest hospital was 300 miles away along some very poor roads), we returned to england for my brother to be born as my mum wasn't going through the Zambian hospital system again! Waht about you? YOu been a wandering?
