"Rico Suave..." I'm not sure if I want to know what that song is about
Rico Suave sounds like a name for a bad after-shave - the type of thing that's really spicy and stinks

I love these countdowns. I enjoyed the 80s one a lot. But what was number one for the 80s one? I'm guessing Thriller or Billy Jean?:S Oh the One Hit Wonder countdown is good too! |

Oh yes...I enjoy the One Hit Wonder Countdown too. Even though I don't agree with some of the artists they selected either. A few had more than one hit or one good song that people knew. |

WHAT!!! really? Don't get me wrong, Living on a prayer is a good song, but when anyone mentions 80s, MJ comes to mind, and Thriller/Billy Jean were almost revolutionary.
Macarena for the biggest one hit wonder? I'm not surprised lol. It was a popular song, not my fave one hit wonder but it was definitely really POPULAR |

Yeah some of their selections for One Hit Wonders were off. For example they said The Cardigans are a one hit wonder band! I totally disagree with that! And some of the songs they chose shouldn't even be considered a 'hit' lol |

Yeah, they kind of based it on people who were one hit wonders in the US. They listed The Verve Bittersweet Symphony as one. And they were really big, not just in the UK but Lucky Man was a hit here too. KC & Jojo (All myyyyy lifeeeeee! I prayed for someone like YOU!) had another hit if I'm not mistaken (I go crazy crazy crazy). A-Ha was really big in their native Sweden. So yeah, it's all relative. |
