Nikki, your star is toooo cute!
I FINALLY got to open my presents from Moray (my dad is the slowest present unwrapper in the history of mankind who tells stories and inspects/reads every DVD cover, book jacket and package as he opens them).
Moray, you went above and beyond!!
Look at all of this:
Beatles Playing Cards!
A cookbook which i see is all traditional recipes from your neck of the woods and I have already found 5 things I want to make!
A Scottish Calendar which I already love since it has this:
coooooooooooooooooo!
This book made me laugh so much, due to your comment a few weeks ago when you asked "have you ever come across Danny Wallace? I think you will like him. He is very Bill Bryson-like."
Sneaky Devil!
Based on this picture alone, I know I will love it:
Okay, and the creme de la creme, la piece de resistance (i'm french all of a sudden!), is the greatest towel in the history of towels
I'm pretty sure the kilt towel is the highlight of my Christmas!
Thanks you SOOOOOOOO much!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
oh and PS-check out the Simpson's wrapping paper! And for a boy, not a bad wrapping job at all!

Great presents everyone! I haven't opened mine yet. I'm kind of snowed in at my grandmas for now. Hopefully soon. |

Please excuse my zombie appearance. It was around 6:15 am and my brain wasn't even really functioning yet. But at least my glasses are fabulous.
Juli sent wonderful things to me!! I first looked at the journal she sent me. The first few pages have a lovely letter from her. My first thought was "wow her handwriting is so pretty." And the first line of her letter is her criticizing her handwriting and English skills.
Her English was perfect as usual and her handwriting is really pretty. She doesn't think she or her handwriting is pretty so clearly she needs glasses.
She also got me this very pretty box, finger puppets for the kids, and cookies. The cookies are sooooo good. I like the chocolate ones a bit better than the white ones but both kinds are great.
Thanks Juli!! |

I'm happy you liked the stuff I sent you :o)
Aidan looks so cute on that pic!
Lol! I can't believe you think my handwriting is pretty. This is seriously not just me criticizing myself. Whenever people ask for my class notes at uni, they say "no, thanks" as soon as they see my handwriting.
As for the other part, I don't need any glasses, thank you. I'm just a realistic person ;o).
And I always say you people on this board are far too kind about my English, so thank you :o)
Your glasses are fabulous!
I prefer the chocolate alfajores as well, but I thought I'd send both kinds just in case.

Shall I scan in part of your letter and put it to a vote?
Because if your handwriting is awful by Argentine standards than if I ever come there I am not going to write anything!
The kiddos love the puppets and my husband also really likes the cookies. He says it's another reason we need to go to Argentina. |

Haha, you can do that if you want to, but I swear I'm not lying! And your handwriting is beautiful, most argentinians would be jealous :oP.
I'm glad your family likes the pressies as well!
You know you're most welcome if you ever come here :o) |

That's so funny because I thought my handwriting was very sloppy in that note because I wrote it so quickly.
Growing up teachers told me my handwriting was the WORST. I wasn't allowed to use a pen, had to use a pencil because it was so awful, so they said.
Well now I hear how nice it is all the time. I don't think it's great but I hear it enough that I guess it must be true.
Here is a blurry pic of Juli's letter. I can't scan at the moment and she wrote small so it was hard to get a pic that showed it.

The "Tango Argentina" journal is amazing!! I love it!! :o)
Well, I'm just voting here, and I say that Juli's handwriting is pretty, and so she is :o). Even if you say you are not, Ju!! (Aunque vos digas que no!!! :oP)
Edit: Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, that thing I wrote in Spanish is pretty much the same I wrote in English. It's just that I thought that if I wrote it in Spanish would be easier to convince Juli of the prettiness of her handwriting :oP. |
