I've just finished watching the first season of Downton Abbey and I loved it! Its one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. I already downloaded the second season. |

I JUST wanted to write *exactly* the same thing: watched the first season of Downton Abbey and loved it!
I liked Gosford Park and read (and liked) Julian Fellowes' novels, so once I realised he wrote a series I got it on DVD from the library. Have to wait a few more months for the 2nd season now :( |

Season 2 of Downton is on our national TV at the moment, one episode per week. Delicious! |

I love Downton! Yay, seems like I finally have people to discuss it with (no spoilers, obviously). Who's your favourite?
As for other tv recommendations, my list is long, I watch everything. |

It's on here, every Sunday night, so I'm trying to catch up on Season 2 before the weekend.
Ooohhh, I'm not sure who my favorites are. I'll have to think about it. |

That was interesting! O'Brien is indeed much prettier in real life. |

Very strange to see all these actors and actresses in modern clothing! |

Phyllis Logan looks like a completetly different person! Picture of Mr Carson in cycling shorts made my day! Mr Carson is the best. |

I don't think I would recognize the guy who plays Thomas, in real life, if I passed him on the street!
So now I'm caught up through Season 2 Episode 5. That last episode had me weeping like a baby, lol. |

This Downtown Abbey thingie is on this afternoon, I'll attempt to watch it to see what all the fuss is about, I'm really trying to keep an open mind however I have the feeling there will be a rant later.

10 minutes in, it's shit !!
It's casualty or Eastenders or some other soap opera sh!t, just because it's set in 1918 doesn't make it any less sh!t. Badly acted, absolutely no continuity, there are two guys running along a ditch making a total racket with their guns rattling and coats swishing, and the nearly run in to a troop of Germans, they only notice that because a German discards a ciggarette end. Excuse me but 5 Germans don't hear two English fuckheads running about the woods making as much racket as possible.
Sorry
