ahh, I remember a day, in the not too distant past, lets call it 2002. When Stevie Y, playing on one good leg, led Team Canada to a victory over Team USA to bring home the gold.
Twas a good day. Good day indeed. A nation celebrated. Parties in the streets. Singing. Grown men hugging. Crying even (specifically one little man named Theo). A congregation at Parliament. Road hockey games breaking out on the streets of Toronto. A lucky loonie pulled from the ice.
Think I'm going to watch my Olympic DVD tonight!
